I thought about the willow tree for a minute or so to find a promising point of view for my shot. In this case promising meant to me:
- A distraction free background. The tree is surrounded by houses and fences and other trees. Try to imagine a blurry roof top in the frame or blurry grass if 'd taken this from an above position. No thanks. Instead I squatted down underneath the tree to have the sky as my background.
- I also wanted a light background to emphasis this nice green color. It double qualified the sky as my background.
- To get some branches behind the plane of focus and some in front to create an impression of depth (f-stop is 2,5)
- Have enough space around the leaves to avoid a crowded frame with too much in focus to fight over attention
